University Systems of major states in the US

Each state of US has its own state university system. The site http://www.capolicycenter.org/reports.html has a 1997 comparative study of the university systems in the states of California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Michigan, New York and Texas. While the reports there are a bit dated, it is a good starting point.
